Burglary reported in Holte Drive, Sutton Coldfield. |

|
Dear Resident. What has happened? At 1.55pm on the 20th of January a resident returned to their property in Holte Drive, after being away for several days. At first everything seemed in order, but several minutes latter it was noticed that an unknown offender(s) had forced open the kitchen window, with what is suspected to have been a screw driver. They have then climbed onto the kitchen counter, once inside an untidy search was conducted, the offender(s) left muddy footprints indicating where they had been in the property. Items of jewellery were taken before the offender(s) made good their escape. What are we doing? CCTV has been checked, and forensic opportunities are being investigated. What can you do? Please ensure all access points to your property are secured, lock windows as well as doors and gates. Use a timer switch, or app based system to activate lights whilst out of the property during the hours of darkness. If you have an alarm system set it when you leave your property.
